GPSIA Statement on Confirmation of Alan Davidson as NTIA Administrator

WASHINGTON, January 12, 2022 – Acting Executive Director of the GPS Innovation Alliance (GPSIA), Alex Damato, issued the following statement on the Senate confirming Alan Davidson to be head of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA):

“The GPS Innovation Alliance and the GPS industry congratulate Alan Davidson on his confirmation and broad bipartisan support in the Senate. Davidson will play a key role in the national effort to expand broadband coverage, properly manage federal spectrum holdings, and guard against harmful interference. Davidson brings years of experience serving the public interest, and we look forward to working with him to continue NTIA’s vital efforts to protect satellite-based services like GPS.”
